Clomid Questions

I wonder endlessly if I'd be pregnant right now if I'd started sooner. I ovulate on my own and have no real need for Clomid other than to up my chances by creating multiple follicles. I switched to clomid on my 4th try. My DW said she would have started immediately but it was my choice. Given the fact that my RE said that you should limit the use of ovary stimulating meds to 12 attempts per lifetime and I want 2-3 kids I didn't want to escalate to meds immediately. It's a personal choice but I have to admit I do wish I'd been more agressive in the beginning.
